Trip Overview

For all our helicopter experiences, we will pick you up from your hotel in a comfortable tour van and take you to the helicopter launch pad. Whether you opt for the Ushuaia City experience or decide to land on a summit of the Andes, you are in for an incredible Patagonia adventure. You are not likely to forget this experience anytime soon! Once you have disembarked the helicopter at the end of your tour, we’ll be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel.

Ushuaia City

We take off for our Ushuaia tour towards the eastern slope of Susana Mountain, where we can see an area logged by the former prisoners of Ushuaia. While we fly over the city, we’ll view the picturesque building of the former penitentiary, the port, and the Martial Glacier. This flight culminates with a sweeping view of Ushuaia Bay and eastwards along the Beagle Channel.

Laguna Esmeralda

We take off over the city, before heading east towards the mountains. Soon we will be able to see the summit of the emblematic Olivia Mountain at nearly 1325 meters (4350 ft). We continue through the Olivia River Valley, from which we can view Carbajal Valley, with its imposing peatlands. From there, we’ll fly through Tierra Mayor Valley until we reach the Laguna Esmeralda. This glacial lake has a wonderful emerald color, as its name implies. We return to the city, culminating our tour with the charming view of Ushuaia Bay.

Landing on the Andes

Similar to the Laguna Esmeralda flight, we’ll take off over the city before heading east. . Soon we will be able to see the summit of the emblematic Olivia Mountain at nearly 1325 meters (4350 ft). We continue through the Olivia River Valley, from which we can glance Carbajal Valley, with its imposing peatlands. From there, we’ll fly through Tierra Mayor Valley until we reach the Emerald Lagoon. This glacial lake has a wonderful emerald color, as its name implies. Continuing on, we fly even higher to land on a summit of the Andes. Here, at the top of the world, we’ll enjoy spectacular panoramic views. We spend some time sightseeing and we have the opportunity to take a picture standing at the top of the Andes mountain range and also enjoy a champagne toast. Returning towards Ushuaia we’ll fly along the Beagle Channel coast, culminating with a view of the charming Ushuaia Bay.
